The Brig. General Hazel Johnson Brown Veterans Center at HELP Philadelphia VI

The Brown Center opened in 2022 and is home to 55 seniors, including formerly homeless veterans. The building was an historic renovation and adaptive reuse of a former public school building and won several awards related to historic preservation. Supportive Services are provided by Public Health Management Corp. The project was financed using Low Income Housing Tax Credits and funding from the City and State and Philadelphia Housing Authority.
